We will collect nature finds, play sports, go fishing, climb trees, and remember what it’s like to connect to the birds, bugs, beasts, and trees. Comfortability around water and a skill in swimming is a plus but not required. Schedule of trips coming soon with some extra costs for any experience that requires admission fees. Note: Most, if not all, of the trips will be to free locations.

When my wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I told her I wanted a journal with 365 pages in it. I wanted to write something to her everyday. I found that deliberately building a bridge from my heart and feelings to words had profound effects on both myself and my relationship. This patreon is born of that process. As the pages of that journal are filling to completion, I realize that I have been doing this to some degree all of my adult life. I’ve left writings strewn halfway across the world in dorm rooms, in the sand of beaches to be washed away, in inner cities, in mailboxes and inboxes, etc. As anyone who has received a personal writing can attest, it seems my words can build a steadfast mountain that acts as watchman to the ever changing waves of the vast ocean lapping at its side, or I can burn to the ground a forest of connections along with every bridge in it.
